The Community Center building, built in 1957 by the citizens of Newberry Springs with private funds and donated materials & labor, was also the location of the original fire station.  The building is currently used for many community meetings and events throughout the year. It also houses the administrative office of the Newberry Community Service District.  Stop by and check out the mural on the front wall of the Community Center Building painted by local children. The park is open to the public during posted hours and is lighted during nighttime hours of operation and has playground & picnic areas, ball field and public restrooms.

The main room of the Community Center Building is available for rent by organizations, businesses, and private individuals.  Contact the secretary at the Newberry Community Services District Office for details.

The Newberry Springs Fire Department is an entirely volunteer organization currently under the direction of Fire Chief Robert Springer, Assistant Fire Chief Steve Miller and Captain Robert “Bubba” Rogers.  The Fire Department operates out of two stations.  Station 1 located at the Community Center and Station 2 located on Newberry Road adjacent to the Newberry Elementary School.  The public can tour the stations and see the equipment by making an appointment by calling the Newberry Community Services District office in advance.  Anyone interested in joining the Fire Department can contact the Newberry Community Services District administrative office.
