Fireworks Display will start around 9 p.m. in the Park of Newberry CSD 30884 Newberry rd. Newberry Springs. The CSD park facilities, bathrooms, community center and parking lot will all be closed to the public due to public health concerns amid the corona virus pandemic.
Per State guidelines, large-crowd events such a festivals,concerts and live sporting events are still yet to reopen due to their higher-risk of potential COVID-19 spread. Those events will hopefully resume later this summer.
In order to balance the tradition of pyrotechnics with the safety protocols of the pademic, the fireworks will be staged at Newberry CSD ballfield, will be gated and locked to prevent onsite viewing.
The CSD encourages spectators to view fireworks from the safety of their vehicle in an open space area. spectators are urged to obey all traffic laws and to refrain from parking on private property,
